Great Movies to see now

Green text means it's a comedy: Red text means it's a thriller: BLUE text means it's a drama: and Gold text means it's an action movie. I rate movies on 2 scales. The first is Good which means well made, Acadamy Award winning quality. The second is Cool which means worth your money, enjoyable to watch. Both go from 0-4.

Movies Out Now

  1. Snatch- (1-19-01) Brad Pitt and Benicio Dell Toro star in a multi-layered crime caper that takes place in London. This is the best movie of the year. It's similar to Pulp Fiction in that they both are multiple stories told with many colorfull characters and lots of black comedy, though Snatch is much more humorous. Snatch is like a cross between a Kevin Smith movie, Pulp Fiction, and Run, Lola, Run. I laughed through the entire thing, and I've seen it three times. Just know that the entire movie is in British. Good **** Cool ****

  2. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon A swordfighter asks a fellow warrior to deliver his 400-year-old sword to his mentor as a symbol of his new peaceful life; but the sword is stolen, and he must get it back. Good***1/2 Cool ****

  5. Traffic- Steven Soderbergh's new one about the drug trafficing trade. Don Cheadle, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michel Douglas, Benicio (gimme the keys) Del Toro are in it playing everyone from druggies to growers. This movie has already gotten the Film Critics Best Picture of the year award. It has also been nominated for a couple of Golden Globes including Best Picture Cool ***1/2 Good ****

  9. Dude, Where's my car- Two idiots try to remember what they did last night after getting drunk and forgetting where their car is. Good * Cool** It was so stupid it was funny. If I were the type of person who walked out of movies, I would have in the first 10 minutes, but it got a lot better

  10. Charlie's Angels- Cammeran Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Lui star as three private investigators who work for an anonymous, millionare. Good ** Cool ***1/2 (I was surprised how much I liked this movie, it was funny and action packed, and above all, worth seeing in theaters)

  11. Unbreakable-From the writer and director of The Sixth Sence, Bruce Willis stars as the only survivor of a train wreck, and begins to realize that he can't be harmed. Good *** Cool *** (Most people will probably think this movie is slow, but I really liked it)

  12. Remember the Titans- Denzel Washington coaches a newly integrated high school football team and unites the town.Good **** Cool ***1/2 (Oscar time baby!!)
